MERIDEN — A few dozen bricks lay on top of a walkway next to the WYSH House on Colony Street. Some of them bear names of individuals who made financial contributions to the WYSH House and its parent organization, the Women & Families Center. Engraved in other bricks are encouraging messages for tenants and other personalized messages honoring donors' personal heroes and beloved family members. Donors purchase bricks along the walkway, with the funds from those purchases supporting the WYSH House's mission to provide transitional and supportive housing for youth with unstable housing.
