The man was extradited from Puerto Rico two months after the fatal shooting and arrested, according to officials. MERIDEN, CT — A man was found guilty of murder by a jury in New Haven Superior Court on Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting in Meriden in October 2020, New Haven State's Attorney John P. Doyle Jr. announced. Davis Omar Roman Villanueva was also found guilty of carrying a pistol without a permit, and he was also convicted of criminal possession of a firearm in a separate proceeding that was tried before the court, according to Doyle.
